Sculpey: the polymer clay you can make anything with

Premo and Soufflé for jewelry making. Benefits, uses and how to start — from your authorized distributor in Colombia.

Create with your hands, without limits

Some things never go out of style: the joy of making a piece with your own hands. Polymer clay is perhaps the material that best supports that impulse. You work it soft, like modeling clay, but once you bake it, it truly hardens and lasts for years.

Among polymer clays, one brand became the world reference: Sculpey, made by Polyform Products in the USA since 1967 and present in every major market. At Carol we brought it in —we are its authorized distributor in Colombia since 2024— so you can craft jewelry and accessories with results you can see.

How to bake Sculpey

  1. Model your piece by hand with your tools, like modeling clay.
  2. Use your home oven —conventional—. Never a microwave.
  3. Bake at 275 °F (130 °C), about 30 minutes per 6 mm of thickness.
  4. Make a test piece and use an oven thermometer: every oven is different.
  5. Let it cool and you're done: strong and made to last.

What people ask us most

A modeling clay you work soft, like modeling clay, that hardens when baked in a conventional oven. Sculpey is the world-leading brand, made in the USA since 1967.

Plasticine never hardens and air-dry doughs tend to crack or shrink. Sculpey truly hardens when baked, doesn't shrink and holds its color.

At 275 °F (130 °C), about 30 minutes per 6 mm of thickness, in a conventional oven. Never a microwave. We recommend a test piece and an oven thermometer.

Premo is ideal for color, effects and jewelry techniques. Soufflé is light, matte and perfect for large pieces and bargello. Many makers use both.

Yes. It's for every level. With the Essential Kit and the free course you can start today.
